I'm incredibly excited to share the debut of my work Spring Hand Pinched Vessels at Yellow Pieces, a curated exhibition by Pieces by Core, one of the most active and influential art galleries in Kuala Lumpur. This moment marks a milestone in my journey as a ceramic artist.
The Spring series is inspired by the invisible rush of growth — the mental hustle that often accompanies renewal and transformation. While hand-building pottery is traditionally meditative and slow, these vessels are born from a desire to work quickly, instinctively, and intentionally. In speeding up the process, the forms begin to shift, requiring new balances of structure and control. What emerges is a raw, expressive dialogue between motion and material.

These pieces were on display as part of Yellow Pieces, a thoughtfully curated show celebrating functional art and design as expressions of creative identity. The exhibition brings together fashion, home accessories, and furniture — each piece treated with the reverence of fine art.
To have my work included among such a dynamic group of contemporary Malaysian artists is deeply meaningful. Pieces by Core is a boutique gallery with a strong commitment to supporting local talent and elevating their work to international standards. I'm grateful to be part of this journey — and to share space with artists whose practices I admire.
